Looking South from the John Hancock Center in Chicago toward the Chicago Loop skyline. A pure urban vista with tall buildings piercing the sky. Fog is rolling in off of Lake Michigan to the East. Water Tower Place is on the far left and the Chicago Park Hyatt is on the right, with the Trump Tower Chicago and the Willis(Sears) Tower in the center.

"Unconditional Surrender" by J. Seward Johnson (26 ft. tall) is based on a photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt taken in Times Square, New York City in 1945 on V-J day. The Carrier Midway - museum is in the background. Memorial Day weekend, Marine Week and Navy Fleet Week prompted me to put this up. "Stormy Weather" (1943) Lena Horne, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald did the song (not the audio on this) - summed it all up - BTW this is Chicago - Rain drops keep falling on my head. (somewhat bald (koool)).
A severe thunderstorm shattered windows in the iconic Chicago, 110-story Willis Tower (Sears Tower), skyscraper and knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people. - broken glass - blow me away - huf huf huf ( the wolf ) tornado - why? where do you go? the Windy City!
